With this partnership, the two companies will work together through a joint R&D collaboration to deliver innovations across Micromax's portfolio of products. Micromax currently ships more than 60 models ranging from dual-SIM feature phones to 3G Android smartphones. Spreadtrum will collaborate with Micromax on the development of new innovative products in order to gain major market share.

Over the past 16 years Pal has worked in the consumer space, in the areas of strategizing and implementing new and innovative campaigns. In his last role, he was heading BLYK India, a mobile messaging company and was successful in launching India's First Mobile magazine catering to the Youth as its Country Manager & Director. In his tenure at Blyk, he successfully established the service with Aircel as one of the most powerful youth engagement platforms within first year of its launch, today BLYK on Aircel has over 3.7 Million opted in users.

Micromax Superfone A110 Canvas 2 sports a 5-inch FWVGA screen with a resolution of 480X854 pixels. The phone is powered by a 1.0 GHz dual core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
The phone boasts of a 2000mAh Li-ion battery promising a talk time up to 5 hours and standby time up to 180 hours. The phone sports an 8-megapixel CMOS camera with dual LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front camera. The 3G-enabled A110 has 4GB on internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB.
Micromax seems to be looking at the large screen quite aggressively. The Indian handset maker has now officially announced two new smartphones - A110 Superfone Canvas 2 and A90S Superfone PIXEL.
Micromax A110 Superfone Canvas 2, is a successor to the company's Canvas A100 device launched in August. It sports a 5-inch TFT capacitive touch screen IPS display with 480x854 pixel resolution. It runs on Android 4.0 and boasts dual-SIM (dual standby) connectivity.

Micromax has rolled out a new Android powered touchscreen smartphone on August 17, 2012. The Micromax Superfone Pixel A90, along with the Superfone Canvas A100, is the latest in the series of feature-rich mobile phones launched by the Indian firm. This dual-sim phone has been launched at a price of Rs 12,990 in the domestic market.
The A90 features a 4.3-inch SuperAmoled touchscreen and is powered by Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The device runs on a 1GHz processor coupled with 512MB RAM, 8 megapixel (MP) rear camera with LED flash and 0.3MP front facing camera. It will be able to support microSD card up to 32GB capacity. Though Homeshop18 had listed this with a price tag of Rs. 9,999, for now there is no official word about the pricing or launch date of this smartphone.
